Silent: A Poem

-

Once vibrant threads now frayed,

A heart that once felt whole and free,

Now aches with memories, longing to be.


Days drift by, a shadowed hue,

Moments shared, now lost from view,

I reach for you, but find the air,

A whisper’s ghost, a fleeting prayer.


Sleepless nights, the tears fall slow,

Missing the warmth of love’s gentle glow,

You were my world, my safe embrace,

Now I'm a wanderer in empty space.


I’ll write my heart in words unspoken,

Hoping for healing, though bonds may be broken,

In the silence, I’ll find my way,

Learning to cherish the love that won’t
