Di minggu kedua dari kelas MOOC FSME ini, belajar tentang motivasi dan kebutuhan (needs). Adanya kebutuhan dan motivasi dilihat dari komunitasnya dulu. Bandura (2000) menyampaikan bahwa grup itu sendiri memiliki level kepercayaan dan motivasi tertentu.  Lalu, cara mengetahui kebutuhan murid, yaitu dengan content needs, learning preferences, dan personal needs.  Content needs berkaitan dengan kebutuhan bahasa siswa dan pengetahuan bahasa siswa, seperti apa tujuan mereka belajar bahasa Inggris,   keahlian apa yang kelihatannya penting untuk mereka, sub keahlian apa yang mereka miliki lebih bagus atau yang lebih lemah. This month, I participated in a MOOC on E-learning and environment design. The reasons why I participate in this MOOC because I keen to develop e-materials for education in Indonesia, especially in foreign language learning. As a participant in that MOOC, we require to create a project for our final project and we have to give feedback for what others have done. I am assigned to give peer feedbacks for three MOOC participants. Participant 1 She designed a course named Computer-Supported Collaborative Learning (CSCL) Second Language Acquisition. The course is designed for language learners and teachers of languages. Among the e-learning model, she applied ASSURE model in her MOOC. The design is quite complete. She put assignments, discussions, grades, pages, files, syllabus, quizzes, modules, conferences, and collaborations as the menu of the MOOC. The second week of MOOC online educator discussed the myth about online education is more accessible than face-to-face education. It appeared two terms, inclusion and accessibility. Inclusion in the educational context means that remove the barriers for equalities while accessibility means equal participation for people with disability. So, it is true for some people that online education is more inclusive because it offers the opportunity for all people no matter what they race are, their background is, or their area is. But at some points, online education can be costly as well because of internet bills and website maintenance.  There was a survey about student barriers to online learning developed by Muilenburg and Berge, 2005 and it mentioned 8 barriers to online learning. This time, I am joining MOOC The Online Educator: People and Pedagogy which is offered by Open University and this MOOC course can be found in the FutureLearn website. This MOOC is divided into four weeks. It is about disruption and design, innovation and accessibility, evidence and ethics, and the last is about the importance of online identity for educators. In this occasion, I will write my summary of what I learn in the first week. The first week is clustered into three categories and those are the myth, hype, and reality in online education, put people first, and from people to pedagogy.  As we know that there are some changes in education and there is also the evolution in higher education all over the world. Teaching a foreign language has been an interesting field and it is not only teaching English as a foreign language, but it can be the other languages as well, such as Indonesian, Arabic, Urdu, Mandarin and many more.  Here are some advantages in teaching a foreign language: 1. Homework involves speaking tasks or listening tasks to the radio or watching TV, and reading newspapers articles 2. Encourage students to seek out opportunities for practice 3. Encourage students to seek corrective feedback from others 4. Have students keep a log or diary of extra-class hearing 5. Plan and carry out field trips 6. Plan social mixers with native speakers 7.
